One of the wildest forested areas in Europe

We regularly offer water activities such as rafting, hydrospeed, canyoning, kayaking, canoe descents in the river Ebro etc. Most of them are half day activities. You can choose morning schedule (around 10.00 am) or afternoon schedule (around 03.00 pm). You can combine them as you wish, and even add an accommodation such as youth hostel, apartments, hotel etc. You may book one or two activities per day. We advise you to have your own transport. You do not need it for the activities but there are lot of places around worth visiting.
Who we are…

UR 2000 is a company dedicated to outdoors sports and adventure travel. Our nature minded team specializes in whitewater, and flatwater activities such as rafting, Canadian canoeing, Kayaking, Canyoning, Hydrospeed and so on. Since 1900, we have proposed the new generation of adventure sports & travel, being nowadays a consolidated company in Spain.
We count with complete installations, the ultimate technology in sport material, a professional team of guides and an idyllic landscape to offer you a complete and high quality service.
Our training packages address everybody, no matter what your skills or physical abilities are.
We pay special attention to the youth, families and children. Educational tours, ranging from multi-active weeks, summer holiday camps or final year celebrations, are available for schools, high schools and Universities. There are also custom-made incentive packages available for enterprises and technical courses for advanced Kayakers, professional guides and other groups needing special skills.

Where we are…
It is a landscape of around 20 villages surrounding the Reservoir of the Ebro (147 square Kilometres, 850 meters medium high). Dating back to 1947, the reservoir appears as an inland blue sea surrounded by a beautiful view of green pastures and farmlands. This is in whole a privileged scenery, considered as one of the wildest natural forested areas in Europe.
Within the province of Burgos and Cantabria, right to the Northeast, there is a huge territory resembling an enchanted labyrinth, mixture of rock, water and greenery. It is a spectacular succession of tight canyons and bleak plateaus creating a very particular geography full of contrasts. This privileged area, still preserving its own natural flavour, allows visitors to get familiar with traditional lifestyles and rural culture.

ARROYO (CANTABRIA):Our Centre of Activities is located in the village of Arroyo near of Reinosa. This is the point of departure for descents and traverses along the canyons of the Upper Ebro.

PESQUERA DE EBRO (BURGOS):You may enjoy the rapids of the river along 20 km of canyons.You will the tight and spectacular gorges that the Ebro river opens along its way towards the sea.
Facilities:
Our Base of Activities has been built on a 2.200 square meter plot that has been equipped as a recreational space for our guest. It counts with facilities such a picnic area, Children Park or the private car park. We also use this space for activities such as archery or playing with your children while you are in the river. The building itself, a rustic wood construction, occupies 190 square meters and counts with bathrooms, showers, dressing rooms, information and customer services, medicine cabinet, and storage. Albergue de Corconte

Youth hostel, located right by the reservoir of the Ebro, surrounded by a beautiful forested area. This is a rustic property recently restored to become a charming “youth hostel”. Adventure and safety...

All activities in our packages include assurance policy in order to ensure the safe enjoyment of these nature-based activities and sports. We count with a team of professional mountaineering and white-water guides. All of them have completed a rigorous training program and are qualified with the official degree stated in the Spanish Real Decree 594/1994, the only legal disposition regulating this professional activity. All of our guides offer their deep knowledge of the mountain sports, their longstanding experience in the river Gállego and their rich experience in rivers worldwide.

As with any physical activity there is an element of risk involved. Safety is our number one priority. Our job is to minimize that risk through preparation, guide training and investment in high quality equipment. We are highly concerned with maintaining out standards of excellence and enhancing the overall quality of your experience with us.

What about your spare time ?...

In the office of the centre of activities you can get advice and information about other activities and trips, cultural visits, gastronomic options and other points of interest in the surrounding area, so you can enjoy your stay with us as much as possible.

General conditions…
  • For the water activities it is necessary to be able to swim.
  • There is a minimum age to participate to the activities. In case of children under 18, please contact us.
  • UR 2000 has the right to modify the set of activities, or to replace some activities by similar ones, if there are unexpected circumstances (weather, variations on the flow, etc.).
  • MEANS OF PAYMENT: 50 % while confirming your reservation and 50 % at your arrival at the Centre of Activities.

BOOKING: Reservations are not a requirement. You will be welcome at any time in our venue at Murillo de Gállego. However weekends and summer holidays are usually busy days and we may be full the day you arrive. So the best way to guarantee the activity is booking in advance. For reservations you may just send an e-mail detailing your name, full address, you I.D number, telephone or some way to contact you, the activity you want, number of people, dates, which activities you want to practice and the accommodation needed. It will take us one day to confirm the reservation and then you will be required a deposit (around 50 %). We may charge you through visa card (we need number, expiring date, and the last 4 numbers of the figure that appears under your signature). The rest can be paid directly at arrival.
